Renavique™ ScanBoard Portable Document Camera
The Renavique™ ScanBoard Portable Document Camera is a foldable overhead imaging device designed for educators, students, remote presenters, small businesses, and users who need to show books, worksheets, physical objects, handwritten notes, or demonstrations on a computer screen. ScanBoard positions a compact camera above the work surface and sends a live image to compatible software through USB-C, allowing printed material and real-world objects to be presented without holding a phone over the desk. Its hinged vertical arm folds flat for storage while preserving a stable top-down viewing position when opened.
📄 Overhead Document Viewing
The camera looks directly down toward the work surface, making it suitable for displaying documents, textbooks, sketches, worksheets, and other flat materials. Users can place items naturally beneath the lens instead of repeatedly adjusting a handheld camera.
🎥 Live Demonstration Capture
ScanBoard can provide a real-time camera feed to compatible teaching, meeting, recording, or presentation software. This allows instructors and creators to demonstrate handwriting, product assembly, craft techniques, or small-object inspection while keeping both hands available.
🔄 Adjustable Folding Camera Arm
The vertical support arm uses controlled hinge points that allow the camera height and viewing angle to be repositioned for different subjects. When the session is finished, the arm folds down toward the base, creating a flatter form for transport or drawer storage.
💡 Integrated Work-Surface Lighting
A slim light panel beside the camera provides controlled illumination across documents and objects when ambient lighting is uneven. Brightness is adjusted through a physical control on the base, helping reduce harsh shadows without requiring a separate desk lamp.
🔘 Dedicated Capture Control
A large tactile button on the base can trigger a still-image capture in supported software. Keeping this action separate from the computer allows users to photograph notes, receipts, or reference material without reaching for the mouse during every capture.
🔌 Single-Cable USB-C Connection
ScanBoard connects to a compatible computer through USB-C for both data and operating power when supported. The rear-facing port keeps the cable away from the working area and avoids the need for a separate battery or charging routine.
ScanBoard uses a low rectangular base with a narrow vertical arm rising from the rear corner rather than the center, leaving most of the surface beneath the camera unobstructed. The arm has a slim solid profile with concealed internal wiring, while the camera head uses one flush dark optical window and a separate diffused light strip. The base is finished in fine matte polymer with a lightly weighted underside for stability. There are no speaker grilles, microphone openings, ventilation arrays, mesh panels, decorative perforations, or unnecessary display elements.
An instructor can place a workbook beneath ScanBoard and annotate it by hand while students watch the live view on a shared screen. A small seller can use the same device to demonstrate packaging, crafts, or product details during a video call without repositioning a laptop camera.
Renavique™ ScanBoard is designed for users who need a practical bridge between physical materials and digital presentations, combining top-down imaging, foldable hardware, and straightforward physical controls in one compact device.
